Cat owners unhappy about conditions at the government cattery where pets must stay during the four-month importation quarantine period are seeking a meeting with officials to air their grievances.

Pet owners claim quarantine cattery inhumane

Cat owners have complained that their pets are forced to live in inhumane conditions at cramped and poorly designed government quarantine kennels.

They say the cat units at the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department's Pok Fu Lam Kennels are smaller than international standards, have no walk-in facilities for owners and do not have proper exercise runs.

Cats given a hotel to call their own
