Triumphing amidst chaos

WITH the tragedies of the last week, many fingers have been pointed and blame apportioned.

Unfortunately, little space has been given to congratulate the many emergency services, from the police, ambulance and fire departments, to the Highways Department, the urban services and, naturally, the Geotechnical Engineering Department.

No proof for chaos theory

I REFER to the letter ''Baseless accusation'' by Adnan Qayum (South China Morning Post, April 10).

Mr Qayum refers to the British as having ''left only chaos and turmoil in the wake of every withdrawal from a former colony''.
