Premium cut brings four bids for KCRC project

Four developers submitted bids to build the Kowloon-Canton Railway Corp's Tuen Mun station residential project yesterday after the Lands Department slashed the land premium it is seeking by 28 per cent.

A father abandoned his son, 10, in a shop in Chi Lok Fa Yuen, Tuen Mun, after meeting his teacher over his performance in school. The boy's mother picked him up from Castle Peak police station.

SUN Hung Kai Properties has spent $60 million for the renovation of the Chi Fu Fa Yuen shopping centre, which has been renamed as Chi Fu Landmark.

Jimmy Wong, general manager of the group's subsidiary Kai Shing Management Services, said it was renovating its shopping centres and adding new facilities.
