Canadian-born Chinese Bernice Liu Pik-yee studied for six years under Erin Kim Turnbull (owner of Nova Dance Studio) in Prince Rupert, British Columbia. She had her first taste of fame when she won the Miss Chinese International pageant in 2001. She then moved to Hong Kong and signed a contract with TVB Jade and has since performed in variety shows as well as television dramas.
