Spotlight on Chinese writers

City University (CityU) is holding a literary festival tomorrow on the theme of 'City, Literature and Imagery'.

The one-day event will feature eight well-known writers, including Pai Hsien-yung, Apple Daily publisher Dong Qiao, founder of City Magazine John Chan and poets Yip Fei and Cheng Chou-yu.

True to form

A student admires a City University sculpture, just one of about 1,800 on show, as it prepares to mark its 20th anniversary with the opening of a major pottery exhibition which runs until October 17. The work, by renowned artist Solan Chiu, will be on display in the show titled Learned Terra Cotta. The artist, who lives in New Zealand, blends Chinese and Western art and culture.
