US fines Chinese firm for re-sales to Pakistan nuclear plant

The US fined a Chinese state-owned company $3 million Monday after it agreed to plead guilty to criminal charges for exporting US-made coatings to a Pakistan nuclear plant against US restrictions.

The government has been taking photographs of the late 'King of Kowloon' Tsang Tsou-choi's calligraphy rather than taking steps to physically preserve them, the Home Affairs Bureau said yesterday.

It said the measures taken to protect his works at Tsim Sha Tsui's Star Ferry Pier were not applicable to those at other sites.

The best thing about being a critic is feeling no guilt about passing judgment on artists and their works. Let's face it, when you get a pile of photographs and press releases on your desk and you have to decide which show to cover, it's all a matter of subjectivity.
