Guangdong Nufront has long supplied microchips for USB data storage devices, tablets and smart television tools in its mainland base but is coy about saying whether it is making money.

This week, the nine-year-old company is exploring the more mature market of Taiwan with its appearance at the island's top technology show.

TAIWAN SHOW DODGES SARS SCARE

Organisers of Computex Taipei predict that the annual technology trade show will see an increase in attendance numbers, despite the recent delay in staging the event because of Sars. The China External Trade Development Council and the Taipei Computer Association said the event had attracted up to 1,200 exhibitors, up about 8 per cent from last year.
