Concord Group's revised plan for its proposed Old Hong Kong tourist development at Quarry Bay failed to gain Town Planning Board approval yesterday.

Tenancy agreements signed

Red chip Shougang Concord International Enterprises and associate Shougang Concord Technology Holdings have signed three tenancy agreements involving $608,445 in monthly rents. The agreements included a 15,335 square foot area in Chai Wan, as well as areas of 7,857 sq ft 5,950 sq ft in a Wan Chai building.

Pacific Concord spin-off plan

Pacific Concord Holdings says it is to submit an initial application to spin off its telecommunications arm today. The proposed listing vehicle is named Concord Telecommunications Holding (CTH), which is 60 per cent owned by the company and 40 per cent by its controlling shareholder, US Concord (Holding).

Singapore offer a hit

Li Ka-shing's Canadian real estate firm Concord Pacific Developments has marked its marketing debut in Singapore with a sell-out.

All 80 units in the Aquarius, a prime condominium development built on the former 1996 World Exposition site in Vancouver, were snapped up by Singaporean buyers within three days. The launch was held over the Easter bank holiday weekend.

Concord buys H&D to boost in Asia

CONCORD Freight System has bought the British-based forwarder Hill Delamain (H&D), in a move to increase Concord's profile in the Far East market, according to the International Freighting Weekly.

Bahamas-registered Concord is a major sea-air operator, 25 per cent owned by Swedish transport giant Bilspedition.

Pacific Concord sells stake

PACIFIC Concord Holding is selling its 69.44 per cent stake in Pacpo Holdings to Peace Hill Enterprise for $198.5 million.

Pacific Concord's stake in Pacpo is held through its subsidiary, Red Hill.

Out of the sale price of $198.5 million, a total of $169.79 million represents a loan made by Pacific Concord to Red Hill.
