A truck driver escaped serious injury when his vehicle was crushed by one of 10 shipping containers that tumbled from their stacks after being hit by strong winds in Tsing Yi yesterday.

$4m theft of TV sets

Three men armed with metal bars tied up watchmen and stole three containers holding television sets worth more than $4 million.

The trio surprised the watchmen at a car-park on Container Port Road South near Stonecutters Island early yesterday morning.

Police said the robbery was well planned and may have been an inside job.
