M+ 'will keep its focus' on HK artists

With a single HK$1.3 billion donation of Chinese contemporary art mainly by mainland artists set to fill a third of the M+ museum of visual culture, its chief has denied it is switching its focus from Hong Kong art.

Executive director Lars Nittve said he had his eye on the Hong Kong Museum of Art's collection to help fill the rest of the space.

Singamas Container stock rises 11pc after profit jump

Shares in Singamas Container Holdings rose more than 11 per cent yesterday after the firm saw net profit climb by 49.8 per cent to a record US$138.6 million last year, up from the earlier record of US$92.5 million in 2010. The firm's stock closed 11.3 per cent up at HK$2.26.
