The circus is in town

The Seyranyan Circus Family from Russia will perform at the apm shopping mall in Kwun Tong over the weekend.

The circus comprises father GaGik, mother Anaida, daughters aged eight, 22 and 24 and two little dogs.

They will treat shoppers to a 30-minute circus show.

Mongolian contortionists twist their bodies so they appear to be giving birth to their own heads. A man balances on a huge stack of chairs. Now someone else is spinning the cube which moments before imprisoned him. Overhead, others soar through the air on pieces of cloth which stream out like wings.

Trio parades mime skills

A BREATHTAKING show by Swiss mime trio Mummenschanz is coming to Hong Kong later this month.

The show, Parade , will give theatre patrons the chance to escape into a world of fantasy, mystery and humour.

The piece, through the soundless theatrical expertise of the three performers, explores the cycles of life, death and resurrection.
