Warhol's sweeping strokes on hand-painted 1979 BMW M1 a perfect pop art tribute

Andy Warhol is a man who needs no introduction. Paying tribute on the 25th anniversary of his death, BMW has dedicated its Art Cars programme this year to the father of pop art.

Following the display last year at the Hong Kong International Art Fair of the M3 painted by Jeff Koons, a 1979 BMW M1 racing car used as a canvas by Warhol, will be showcased at this year's fair.

MiTo is epitome of cool

The Alfa Romeo MiTo is one of the most attractive cars in Hong Kong, particularly in red. Launched in 2008 as the Italian marque's answer to the BMW Mini and Audi's A1, the three-door, five-seater MiTo has a shield-shaped grille, sculpted V-shaped bonnet and clear lens, and teardrop headlamps inspired by the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione.

Dream car has it all

Founded in 1967, AMG originally built and tested engines for racing cars. Its initials stand for Aufrecht, Melcher and Gro?aspach, the birthplace of one of its two founders, Hans Werner Aufrecht, a former Benz engineer. Now based in Affalterbach, near Stuttgart, AMG is a subsidiary of Daimler and modifies Mercedes-Benzes into collectors' items.
