More soccer pitches to level the playing field

With the World Cup grabbing our attention, now is a good time to revisit the government-funded report on the state of Hong Kong soccer. While it was a very welcome initiative, it did, however, skate over the main problem.

I REFER to the article headlined ''Customs officials bowl KCC a real 'googly' '' in Owen Hughes' Post Script column (Sunday Morning Post, September 5).

Although initially stumped, I have now found that the report was a little wide of the mark and overpitched insofar as the incident mentioned had no connection with the forthcoming Wharf/Cathay Pacific Cricket Sixes.
