Convoy Sun Hei will be missing striker Fabio de Souza from their starting line-up when they face Al Wihdat of Jordan in the opening leg of the AFC Cup quarter-finals at Mong Kok Stadium tonight. Coach Khoo Luam Kuen said the Brazilian forward would start on the bench due to a lack of match fitness after a leg injury. Each side are allowed three foreign players.

Sun Hei, winners of four trophies last season, are in Beirut where they will take on Lebanese league champions Nejmeh Club in an AFC Cup semi-final first-leg. The second leg is back in Hong Kong on October 12.

Cordeiro considers opting for HK

The Hong Kong team will be given be a strong boost in the new season with the addition of Cristiano Cordeiro, the newly crowned Footballer of the Year.

Having spent the past seven years in Hong Kong, the Brazilian is now eligible to register with the Hong Kong Football Association as a local player and play for Hong Kong, if selected.

Raymond Chow Man-leung is basking in the glory after the club he founded six years ago, Sun Hei, made a clean sweep of all four major domestic titles this season - Senior Shield, League Cup, First Division League and FA Cup.
