Veteran cyclist Wong Kam-po is gearing up to be a star at his fifth Olympics - and a young fan inspired by his fighting spirit tried to give Wong another stellar honour.

Henry Tsang Chun-man, a Primary Three pupil, was the judge's choice of winner in a Commercial Press competition to name an asteroid. He picked the cyclist after seeing his medal-winning performances on TV.

Cyclist Jamie Wong is a true heroine

Jamie Wong Wan-yiu is a Hong Kong cyclist. She came second at the 2010 Asia Games - she did so after she fell and fractured a rib, but got right back into the race and persevered despite severe pain.

She is a true heroine in my eyes. She should be a role model for Hong Kong people and local athletes.

Road chill

For the most part, the Sai Sha Road, between Sai Kung and Ma On Shan, is single carriageway and winding; by Hong Kong standards it is a pretty road. Once in a while, though, its traffic bunches up behind a slow-moving vehicle and things get ugly.
