Dalian firm aims to raise 800m yuan in HK float

DHI DCW Group, a Dalian-based heavy equipment manufacturer, plans to raise 600 million to 800 million yuan through an initial public offering in Hong Kong next June, mayor Xia Deren said yesterday.

The mainland broadcast its first Japanese-language television programme in Dalian yesterday, Xinhua reported. Dalian in Liaoning province is a popular city for Japanese businesses which have invested more than US$5.6 billion there.

Shipbuilders to get credit

The Import and Export Bank of China has signed agreements to extend export credit to two shipbuilders in Dalian, Liaoning province. Xinhua news agency reported export credit of three billion yuan and US$120 million, would be given to Dalian Shipyard and Dalian New Shipyard over the next few years.
