Fownes hopes luck will be with Crossing

Trainer Caspar Fownes has declared all systems go in his first international assault, with Bowman's Crossing settling in well before the $14.8 million Singapore International Airlines Cup at Kranji on Sunday.

Cup hopes still alive for Crossing

Trainer David Oughton will press on to the Cathay Pacific Hong Kong Cup with Bowman's Crossing despite his defeat at the hands of Ain't Here in the Cup Trial on Sunday.

Bowman's Crossing was a slashing second in the Hong Kong Mile at last year's Hong Kong International Races, and has yet to win beyond 1,800 metres but Oughton was not changing plans yesterday.

Hayes' Good To Great shows plenty of energy
