Most racing fans are waiting for the Dennis Yip Chor-hong stable to strike form in the second half of the season, after suffering in the handicaps for last year's championship victory and there was a flash of form from one of his newer horses on Wednesday night.

Dennis Yip Chor-hong knew the comedown from his fairytale Trainers' Championship of last season would be tough but after a slow first half of the term a double at Sha Tin got things moving in the right direction for the stable.

Dennis Yip Chor-hong continued his recent surge with a double and took a surprise lead at the top of the trainers' championship, but he wasn't playing up his title chances - instead he planned to head home and take a screenshot of his name appearing above that of seven-time champion John Size on the top of the table.
