We must thank your reader for bringing to our attention the problem of loose tiles on the jogging track at Happy Valley Sports Ground.

I refer to your reader's letter headlined, 'Strange rules' (South China Morning Post, July 4), regarding rescheduling arrangements for tennis courts and the attitude of staff in Victoria Park.

Closure unavoidable

I refer to the letter headlined, 'Pool closure is inexcusable' (South China Morning Post, December 3).

Wan Chai Training Pool is a purpose-built outdoor heated swimming pool for organised aquatic training.

It was closed from mid-October 1996 to install an ozone sterilisation system.

Avoiding potential risks

I REFER to the letter headlined, 'Inconvenient' (South China Morning Post, February 17), concerning the opening hours of the jogging track at the Causeway Bay Sports Ground.

The existing facilities there comprise one grass pitch, five running tracks and one jogging track.
