DreamWorks Studios was founded in 1994 by media moguls Steven Spielberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg and David Geffen. In 1999, 2000 and 2001, DreamWorks won three consecutive Academy Awards for Best Picture for American Beauty, Gladiator and A Beautiful Mind, and its animated movies have also been major successes, including Antz (1998), The Prince of Egypt (1998), Chicken Run (2000), Shrek (2001), and Shrek 2 (2004). DreamWorks Animation was spun off in 2004.

Sands, DreamWorks strike Macau casino licence deal

Sands China, the Macau arm of US casino mogul Sheldon Adelson, has entered into a licensing agreement with DreamWorks Animation SKG to host animated characters including Kung Fu Panda Po, Shrek and King Julien of Madagascar at its three Cotai Strip resorts.

Return of the cuddly warrior - Kung Fu Panda 2 (Film)

Many years ago, the peacock villain Lord Shen (voiced by Gary Oldman) made plans to take over all of China by harnessing the power of fireworks. But a goat soothsayer (Michelle Yeoh) warned him that 'a warrior of black and white' would ruin his plans. Shen assumed the warrior was a panda and wiped out a whole village of the cuddly bears.

Star signs DreamWorks run

News Corp's Star Movies channel, launched on SAR pay-television platform i-Cable last Friday, has signed a deal with DreamWorks Distribution for exclusive pay-TV rights to 40 DreamWorks SKG films to be broadcast in India and Pakistan. The agreement extends a nine-picture deal brokered in June last year.
