How some people can manufacture outrage and get away with it. That's my take on Rolling Stone's treatment of how the US Justice Department mounted another scalp in its trophy case by extorting US$1.9 billion from HSBC.

Gunmen kill environmental activist in south Mexico

A band of gunmen killed an environmental activist who had received death threats for standing up to drug gangs and had a police guard when she was ambushed in southern Mexico, authorities said on Thursday.
