'Rotten bill' no election deterrent for Democrats

The Democratic Party renewed its vow yesterday to contest next year's elections despite amendments to the electoral laws which disadvantage the party.

Chairman Martin Lee Chu-ming said the passage of the 'rotten bill' had proven the need for democracy far better than the Democrats could have done.
