Wenzhou villagers riot over substation they fear is health threat

More than 1,000 villagers have clashed with police in Wenzhou over the construction of an electrical substation, despite recent central government promises for changes to reduce "not in my backyard" movements.

2 workers hurt in blaze at power substation

Two CLP Power workers were injured in a fire yesterday while conducting a routine check at a power substation in Kowloon City. The pair suffered burns on the face and arms when a blaze suddenly occurred at about 6am at the facility. The power firm said it has set up a task force to determine the cause of the fire.
