For its Wednesday premiere alone, ticket sales hit $3.91 million - the best day-one takings this year - with the film being shown on 68 screens across the city. That also blows away Infernal Affairs (which went on to become last year's biggest box-office hit), which took in $2.58 million on its first day.

Six arrested over TV host attack

Updated at 2.36pm: Six men were arrested in the early hours of Friday morning in connection with the recent assault on comedian and TV show host Eric Tsang Chi-wai in a Kowloon Tong club.

Officers from Kowloon West raided some 25 locations all over the territory, including entertainment premises in Wan Chai and Tsim Sha Tsui. The six suspects are aged between 22 and 51.
