Two years after construction began, Israel has finished the bulk of the work on a fence along its border with Egypt.

Officials prick village barrier but road is still impassable

Government contractors yesterday removed part of a barrier that had been blocking the only access road into a Sai Kung village since last Friday after the landowner refused to clear the area. But the road linking the village to Sai Sha Road remains inaccessible to cars.

I think fencing should be promoted in schools. Fencing is a martial art that uses a kind of sword and it requires some protective clothing to ensure the safety of the athletes.

Although the equipment is costly, fencing is the perfect sport for schools because it doesn't need much space. You also don't need to book a place for practice.

Strip of government land in filthy state

I am writing on behalf of the residents of Tai Tam Garden, situated at No 11 Tai Tam Road, regarding the state of a piece of abandoned land near our building.
