China to buy Lada-class subs, Su-35 fighters from Russia

China has signed an agreement with Russia to buy 24 Sukhoi Su-35 fighter jets and four Lada-class submarines in its biggest weapons purchase from Moscow in a decade, state media reported.

Fighter jets boost PLA armoury

The mainland's air attack and defence capabilities have been boosted by a consignment of advanced Russian fighters.

The Moscow-based Sukhoi Design Bureau confirmed the Su-30 MKK jets were delivered last month.

The initial design work for an advanced stealth fighter is finished, according to the London-based Jane's Defence Weekly.
