You should have watched Michael Phelps' incredible performance in the Beijing Olympics on TV. It takes years for a competitor to reach his level. But there is another sport that can give you a chance to achieve fast times in the pool - finswimming.

Finswimmers show they're up to speed

HK grab bronze, set new record

The Hong Kong team did not let their supporters down at the 10th Asia Finswimming Championship held at Tsueng Kwan O pool earlier this month.

They won a bronze medal in the men's 50-metre bi-fins race and broke a Hong Kong record in the 4x100m relay.

Moving swiftly underwater, Hong Kong's top finswimmers thrilled the crowd at the University of Science and Technology pool last Saturday.

Chance to make a splash

Give it a try - it is fun! This was the message for more than 100 budding swimmers who took part in the recent 'A Chance To Have A Go' event organised by the Hong Kong Underwater Association (HKUA) at the Kwun Tong Swimming Pool.

One of the highlights was a demonstration in scuba diving and finswimming.
