Valley confident of claiming double

Tradition Valley will attempt to complete the double today when they take on CBRE Hong Kong Football Club in the Grand Championship final at King's Park, contentedly basking in the knowledge that nothing will rattle them and there is no hurdle they cannot surmount.

Double delight as Club seal cup triumph

CBRE Club steamrollered their way to the double - winning the Knockout Cup with a convincing 28-12 victory over Synovate HKCC at King's Park yesterday.

A power-packed performance from the forwards allowed Football Club to emerge comfortable victors, and complete a marvellous season, winning silverware in both the Cup and the League.

There were plenty of fireworks yesterday - and not just out on Victoria Harbour. As expected, the clash between arch-rivals Asahi Valley and CBRE Club, won 14-8 by Valley, turned out to be a fiery and combustible affair with frequent battles marking rugby's own National Day celebrations.

VALLEY ran in 10 tries as they began the chase for their third major title this season with an entertaining 58-20 victory over Police in Premiership action yesterday.

For 40 minutes, Police lived in a dream world as they held Valley on a tight leash to lead 13-12 at half-time. But dreams of a Police victory were a mirage.
