Training of pilots to be relocated overseas

CATHAY Pacific Airways is to announce today that it will move its pilot training school overseas because of rising operating costs in Hong Kong.

After months of study, a formal decision has been made by senior management and the 130 staff at the training school at Kai Tak airport will be told of the move this morning.

On the road

THE annual International Travel Expo in Hong Kong will be bigger than ever this year, with China leading the way.

InterTour will occupy an extra 5,400 sq metres at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre between May 26 and 29, taking total space of 14,400 sq m.

Among other exhibitors will be Brazil, Malaysia, Japan, Indonesia and Turkey.
