Fortune Ring

Feeling good for success

SPLENDID Feeling looks to have peaked in readiness for today's seventh event in which there do not appear to be too many dangers, writes Lawrence Wadey.

A chance dropped

THE run of the night with an eye to a future winner was put in by Fortune Ring in the fifth event. He finished third to shock winner Lucky Touch but would have been even closer had not jockey Frankie F. C. Lor dropped his right rein as he fumbled for the whip in the closing stages of the race.

Nice Ring about Fortune

FORTUNE RING (Nap) is my idea of the most reliable betting proposition at Sha Tin this afternoon.

He has run placings on each of his three outings this season, including two good seconds over course and distance.

Fortune awaits early punters

I WONDER how many will leave the track this evening having made a fortune. It's a tame pun but the horse of the same name is by no means a tame stayer. Certainly not in Class Five and I make him the day's best bet.

Nor do you have to wait long for A Fortune to race. He's in the day's first event and could provide visiting South African jockey Jeff Lloyd with his first winner.
