The annual Memphis in May Beale Street Music Festival ends today. The massive event drew big names from a wide range of musical genres, among them luminaries such as Little Richard, contemporary greats My Morning Jacket and Florence + the Machine (right), as well as hip hop acts Wiz Khalifa, Pit Bull and Three 6 Mafia, plus mash-up maestro DJ Girl Talk.

French in HK set to vote in tight election

Hong Kong's burgeoning French community today turns its attentions to its homeland, with thousands expected to vote in the country's presidential election.

Four polling stations have been set up to cater for the 6,280 French voters in the city, out of a population of more than 10,000 expatriates registered at the French consulate.

Chic Rue Madame puts the colour in summer couture

Chic Parisian fashion boutique Rue Madame hosted an arty event at Central's Opera Gallery on Tuesday to show the spring-summer collections of its eight new brands.

Mannequins were used to display the colourful collections against a backdrop of romantic paintings by Korean artist Kwon Ki-soo and stainless steel and copper sculptures by mainland artist Fan Xiaoyan.
