A damp-looking Lai Kat retained his Southern District Cross Country title yesterday after battling through torrential rain and a flooded course at Aberdeen Country Park.

If you did, you were out of luck. Its office shut early.

This we learned from Hong Kong's campaigner against boardroom malfeasance, David Webb.

He read about it in a pop-up notice on the outfit's Web site.

No, we did not put our misogynist's hat on this morning. Instead we've been checking out international property consultant FPDSavills' latest newspaper ad. The advertisement promoted the latest residential development and investment opportunities in London.

Hush hush campaign on a need-to-know basis

Lai See thought he had uncovered an interesting snippet when he heard on the grapevine that on-line advertising company 24/7 Media Asia, had recently appointed itself an Associate Director for Secrecy and Security.

This raised all sorts of interesting questions.

THE biblical verse, 'A man reaps what he sows' became the edifying subject of an address during Lingnan Dr Chung Wing Kwong Memorial Secondary School's 11th graduation ceremony recently.

Guest speaker Dr Lai Hon-ming, chairman of Physics Department at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, used the precept to impress upon students the importance of diligence.
