Beware Pupketeers! Today is Friday the 13th, a day when bad things are meant to happen, an unlucky day, a woeful day. Today is a good day to stay in bed - as if I needed an excuse, ha ha! Well, I do need to recover from my awesome trip to Thailand.

Fashion designer Susanna Ngao of S.Nine kicked off her first Friday Shopping Night with a bang last week. Despite a pending typhoon signal No8 alert, fans braved the gloomy weather for a fun shopping event at Ngao's Central studio.

What: More than 200 fashionistas converged on Armani in town for a brash Friday dance party grooving to DJ G.Brown from New York and generally making the scene.

Tamar festival

The first four events confirmed for the Tamar site were announced by the tourist association yesterday. They are: August 23: a pop concert from 8pm-11pm with 2,000 tickets available locally and 10,000 through overseas promotions.

October 1 to November 29: Tamar Jumbo Mart open-air market to be held from noon to 10pm every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and public holiday.

Murder case

A 33-YEAR-OLD man was charged with murder, accused of pushing a 70-year-old man into the path of a truck in North Point on Friday afternoon. The accused is due to appear at Eastern Court tomorrow.

Shek O suffering from traffic nightmare

I AM deeply concerned about the problem of traffic congestion in Shek O Village every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and on public holidays (especially weekend nights). I am particularly worried, because police are not doing enough to alleviate the congestion, or curb illegal parking.

At weekends traffic conditions reach a point of paralysis.
