Mentally ill man acquitted over brother's death

A man who allegedly killed his mentally disabled brother at their flat, and lived with the body for several days before dumping it in the estate's refuse room, walked free yesterday after an autopsy suggested the victim may not have been murdered.

The victim could have died of starvation and a fall after suffering an epileptic seizure, the court heard.

The movie is based on the popular Hong Kong manga Fung Wan (Wind, Cloud) by comic-book artist Ma Wing-shing, and is a sequel to the live-action movie The Storm Riders (1998) with Aaron Kwok Fu-shing and Ekin Cheng Yee-kin.

Animated film about to get on the Storm Riders merry-go-round

Hot on the heels of last week's news about the Pang brothers making a sequel to the Storm Riders movie, there's now a report that an animated version of the franchise is also being produced from Andrew Lau Wai-keung's comic book-based hit of 10 years ago. A trailer for the animated feature turned up over the weekend on cult movie blog twitch.com.

A former pastor of a Kowloon church has been jailed for 30 months for molesting three teenage boys over a period of 20 years.

Deputy District Court Judge David Dufton passed the sentence on Amos Fung Chun-yip yesterday, saying the term was required to punish Fung and deter others.
