Video game: Bioshock Infinite

If there's ever an exhibit to be brought forth in the trial against the erosion of video-game originality, Bioshock Infinite is a prime example.

The first Bioshock was an instant classic, breaking free from the first-person shooter mould by focusing as much on its original sci-fi story and imaginative steampunk visuals as its exciting gameplay.

For young children, a hospital - with its whirring machinery and masked staff - can be a terrifying place. But professionals known as play specialists have been bringing colour and laughter into the white, sterile rooms that confine these little patients.

What is it? The tranquil waterfront retreat on Vanuatu's Havannah Harbour is an off-the-beaten-track hideaway. The sheltered bay was used as an American naval base during the second world war but is now becoming a haven for movie stars. Cate Blanchett owns a waterfront property here and Leonardo DiCaprio has been spotted cruising the bay on a private yacht.
