Fake liquor seized from Tsim Sha Tsui pub as triad scam busted

More than 600 bottles of liquor bearing famous brand names but thought to contain cheap alcohol were seized from a pub in Tsim Sha Tsui in an anti-triad operation that netted 86 arrests.

124 arrested in raids on triads after street battle

Police cracking down on triads have made more than 120 arrests in a series of raids in Sheung Shui and Yuen Long over the past two days.

More arrests are expected as police continue to target the 14K and Wo Shing Wo triads.

The swoops followed a vicious brawl involving about 20 gangsters from the two rival gangs in Yuen Long on Sunday.

Police warn as six held after triad gangs clash

Police have sought to deliver a stern warning to troublemakers after a clash between two triad gangs over a disputed debt left five suspected gang members injured.

Ten face charges over raid on triad

Ten of the 91 people arrested in Tai Po this week over illegal activities allegedly run by the Sun Yee On triad appeared in Fanling Court yesterday. Eight men and two women, aged between 29 and 58, faced 39 charges. They are accused of operating or managing gambling establishments, claiming to be a member of a triad society and bookmaking between April 6 and June 22. They did not enter pleas.

Triad's murder may be linked to turf war

Police believe the murder of a senior triad member on the doorstep of a luxury hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui could be the result of a turf war between rival gangs over the area.

Lee Tai-lung was knocked down by a car then chopped to death at about 4am on Tuesday after he stepped out of his Mercedes-Benz at the Kowloon Shangri-La.
