'I rode Pretty Trio once on the all-weather track last year and the difference between the way he felt that day and the way he was today is amazing. He is unrecognisable as the same horse,' Doleuze said.

Success bang on target for Derby

Dennis Yip Chor-hong's 2004 Mercedes-Benz Hong Kong Derby entrant Industrial Success was the main focus yesterday at Sha Tin, where the talented galloper won the first of two dirt trials. Naturally, given his rating (107), he was expected to come through the trial as the winner and by all accounts he looks on target for the Classic next weekend.
