Masked men attack newspaper office

Police are hunting four assailants who strode into the offices of a radical online newspaper and destroyed its equipment yesterday.

The masked men marched into Independent Media's (In-media) ninth-floor office on Hennessy Road, Wan Chai, at around 1.20pm and smashed computers and a television before fleeing, the paper said.

Africans jailed for stealing 'drunk' policeman's wallet

Two African women were sentenced to nine months in prison yesterday after they stole a wallet from a policeman pretending to be a drunk Wan Chai bar customer.

Judith Karimi and Josephine Nkatha Kenyan John, both from Kenya, were arrested in a police crackdown on pickpockets in the bar areas of Wan Chai and Lan Kwai Fong.

Aberdeen: Sea life going under as tide turns

The Chinese name for the Southern district enclave of Aberdeen is Heung Kong Zai or 'Little Hong Kong'. The name is also a synonym for 'Hong Kong Boy', and one who can claim that title is 53-year-old Leung Siu-yung, a fisherman born and raised on Aberdeen Harbour.
