Gi Ka-man's plan to set a new course record in the New Balance Gold Coast 15K race will have to wait one more year as strong winds and a lack competition saw yesterday's attempt fall more than a minute short of the mark.

Gi runs to third title over 15km

Record holder just keeps getting better

Gi Ka-man beat a field of more than 1,300 runners as he clinched his third consecutive men's overall title in record time at the Hong Kong 15km Challenge last Sunday.

Organised by the Hong Kong Amateur Athletic Association (HKAAA), the race was held at Pak Tam Chung Park, Sai Kung.
