Play it cool with reformed Groovy

With his barrier manners under control and the benefit of an extended-ratings band, Dennis Yip Chor-hong's Groovy appeals as a banker in the final leg of tomorrow night's Triple Trio at Happy Valley.

Punters will have to negotiate two tough legs to make it to the final pin alive, but at least then they can play narrow in the Shan Kwong Handicap (1,200m).

Groovy may be green, but Valley brings out best in him

The brief career of the Dennis Yip Chor-hong-trained Groovy to date has shown that he still has plenty to learn about the business, but that looks a factor in his favour as the horse to beat in the Hong Kong Rugby Football Union Cup (1,200m) at Happy Valley tonight.
