I agree the government should clean up and protect Victoria Harbour. Because of the limited land and the development of commercial buildings, the government has reclaimed the harbour. This has affected marine creatures and ruined the appearance of the harbour.

Design your dream harbour

STUDENTS CAN use their imagination to create their dream waterfront by taking part in the 'My Harbour' Design Competition.

The contest, organised by the Harbour Business Forum (HBF) of the Business Environment Council (BEC), was launched this week. It is open to Primary One to Form Seven students. Those below Primary One can enter the family category with their parents.

All manner of flotsam and jetsam litters the surface, while innumerable liquid pollutants poison the water.

Research suggested that the floating refuse originated on land and had been carried through to the harbour along the 90 stormwater outfalls that drain into it.
