LVMH fined 8m euro over Hermes stake-building

France’s markets watchdog AMF on Monday fined luxury-goods group LVMH 8 million euros (HK$80.9 million) for failing to properly disclose its stake-building in rival Hermes before 2010.

Hermes' managing director for Hong Kong and Macau, Elsa Rameau, demonstrated how pregnancy need not put the brakes on a woman's career when she hosted a cocktail party to unveil the space for the French fashion house's home collections at Causeway Bay's Lee Gardens.

Hermes will present the exhibition 'Photos-Souvenirs au Carre' by Daniel Buren at Cais Gallery (87 Hollywood Road, Central) from September 8 to 21.

Having launched its first edition of 'carre d'artiste' in 2008 with 'Homage to the Square' by Josef Albers, the French brand has invited Buren to personalise its emblematic squares of silk for the second edition.
