Leftover logic

Pascale Mussard hates waste. From a tender age, the great-great-great-granddaughter of Thierry Hermes, founder of luxury brand Hermes, has had trouble throwing things away.

Blue and white works for me

There's enough blue and white-striped shirts in Alan Lo's closet to last him a month without wearing one twice. What's your favourite complication? The most useful one: hours and minutes. In search of diverse sophisticated complications, I prefer one that can present hours and minutes differently which gives people a surprise, while having its basic function that can tell time accurately.

It's in the male

Hermes flexed its masculine muscle at its Galleria boutique last month, with a Men's World soiree focusing on its new collection of travel luggage, sports accessories and men's items. The theme was the colourful Hermes tie, which each guest was asked to wear in an unusual way. Some wore it as a scarf, others turned it into a wrap.

Great view, but not much room for Hermes fashion presentation

The overcrowded Hermes Autumn-Winter 2006 presentation took place at an unusual venue last Friday - the balcony of Pier 4 in Central. With the theme of being 'On Guard', the models were covered with black mesh veils and strode the catwalk without expressions on their faces.
