League runners-up TSW Pegasus will play under the name of Sun Pegasus next season after securing a new sponsor and undergoing a team and management shake-up.

Caroliners part ways with star striker Chan Siu-ki

South China have terminated Chan Siu-ki's contract prematurely after the striker's private life hit the headlines in a newspaper.

The Hong Kong international was due to join the national team training in Kowloon Tsai Park yesterday in preparation for the friendly match against Singapore on June 1, but did not attend.

Pegasus toil to reach second final

TSW Pegasus reached their second cup final of the season as they scraped past Sham Shui Po 3-1 in their FA Cup semi-final at Mong Kok Stadium yesterday.

They are likely to meet rivals Kitchee - who take on Biu Chun Rangers today - in the final.

TSW Pegasus have requested their final match of the season be moved to the same date league leaders Kitchee play, after Pegasus beat Wofoo Tai Po 4-0 in the BMA First Division at Yuen Long Stadium yesterday to keep the title race alive.

Kitchee fans were in good voice last night after the champions moved to within touching distance of defending their BMA First Division crown with a 1-0 victory over Tuen Mun at Tseung Kwan O Sports Ground.

'One more victory,' the fans chanted as their heroes walked off the pitch after the hard-earned win.

Kitchee won the first of their two battles against TSW Pegasus yesterday, beating their fierce rivals 2-1 in the final of the Halewinner League Cup at Mong Kok Stadium yesterday.

Next up for Kitchee - who collected HK$250,000 for their victory - is the First Division championship, where they trail Pegasus by two points with three matches to play.

Relegation-bound Hong Kong Sapling are refusing to throw in the towel after holding Sunray Cave Sun Hei to a 1-1 draw in the BMA First Division at Kowloon Bay Park last night.

Alex Akande scored a late equaliser with only five minutes left, beating goalkeeper Ho Kwok-chuen with a powerful drive from the right to rescue a point.

Kitchee's late blitz sends them to League Cup final

Three goals in extra time fired Kitchee into the League Cup final as they outclassed South China 4-1 in front of a crowd of 3,200 at Mong Kok Stadium yesterday.

Second-half substitute Fernando Recio powered home a low drive in the 99th minute to put Kitchee into the lead again after a 1-1 deadlock in the allotted 90 minutes.

Pegasus are second in the standings on 24 points, two behind Kitchee but with a game in hand. South China are third, one point behind Pegasus but have also played a game more.

Karikari just waiting on passport to play

Forward Godfred Karikari is racing against time to play for Hong Kong in an international friendly against Taiwan later this month - the first match under new coach Ernie Merrick.

The Pegasus winger has yet to obtain his Hong Kong passport, but is still being drafted into Merrick's 27-member training squad.
