Chang is in no rush to add any head gear to budding stayer

Michael Chang Chun-wai will hold off on moving to blinkers with budding stayer Loving Star, the trainer keen to see the four-year-old relax on raceday first before any changes are made. The New Zealand import scored at his third local start, but there still some signs that told Chang the nervous type was not ready for head gear, nor a step up in distance.

There's more in store for Prosper, says Chadwick

Producing a Private Purchase for a first-up win is a tough task, but Oriental Prosper made the handicapper's assessment seem spot on with a fighting win up the straight course.

The Tony Millard-trained sprinter won five from 11 in England, including four of his last five starts, but continuing a European sprinter's good form on arrival doesn't often go to plan.

Green Zone's smart win is tailor-made for Sam

Never let it be said that Manu Melwani isn't a patient owner, but the addition of his 'lucky charm' put Sam The Tailor into a winning photo again after more than 16 years of waiting.

Blinkers do the trick for O'Sullivan's new recruit Heartland

The addition of blinkers by trainer Paul O'Sullivan may have had the desired result on Heartland if his trial win at Sha Tin yesterday was any indication.

A winner of three from eight in New Zealand, the Private Purchase ran into stiff opposition at his first two Hong Kong starts last season when under the care of Sean Woods.
