Tuck into some of the finest food in town, with the world at your feet.

Unfair to a fine old restaurant

I HAVE read with great distaste the unfair criticising in Margaret Sheridan's article on one of Hong Kong greatest restaurants if not in the world (Review, December 3).

I have been a regular at 'Gaddi's' for over 28 years.

I can honestly say I have never had a bad meal.

A Singaporean taxi driver has been heralded as a hero after he returned S$1.1 million (HK$6.96 million) in cash to a vacationing Thai couple who left the money in his cab.

In a testosterone-fuelled spectacular in Macau, Le (above left) - who says he was discriminated against as a boy after moving to America - will aim to use his mixed martial arts skills to pulverise another man inside an octagonal cage.

About time: strapped?

As a committed reader of the Financial Times and The Economist, those purveyors of doom and gloom, I am, of course, preparing myself for Global Economic Armageddon Part II. “What Armageddon?” you say, sipping your cold Sancerre and stroking a fluffy white cat.

Scorpio (Oct 24 - Nov 22) A dynamic alignment between fearless Mars and Jupiter, planet of success but also excess, indicates you will either win big or lose big. Be brave and, if it goes wrong, be big enough to blame yourself.

Up Close & Personal: toy guns

When I was pregnant with our firstborn, my husband and I decided on a number of parenting guidelines. Some, like no smacking, were agreed upon without much needing to be said. Others needed to be more clearly spelled out, specifically by me to my husband. He called them "the regulations".

Snack attack: hotdogs

Bun fright One of my pet peeves when eating a hotdog is when the sausage is shorter than the bun, or vice versa.
