Scholars honoured

Financial Secretary Donald Tsang Yam-kuen, 1998 Nobel Laureates Professor Daniel Tsui Chye and Professor Amartya Kumar Sen, Professor Fei Xiaotong of Peking University and philanthropist Dr Daisy Li Woo Tze-ha were conferred honorary doctorates at the Chinese University of Hong Kong's 55th Congregation, which was held earlier this month.

Fuller a source of inspiration for Foster

ONE of young Norman Foster's mentors was the renowned Buckminster Fuller, inventor of the geodesic dome.

Sir Norman was full of praise for the late Mr Fuller, whose work in energy efficiency, he said, was well ahead of its time.
