There is no better way to appreciate the clamour that is Hong Kong than returning from a holiday.Monday, 5 December, 2011, 12:00am
The government yesterday gazetted a change to the Noise Control Ordinance extending construction noise limits to more areas of the city. It said 280,000 residents would benefit. The ordinance requires a permit to be obtained if construction work with powered mechanical equipment is to take place between 7pm and 7am or on holidays. MANY of YOU may have noticed that words make noises. Some words actually do sound a bit like their meaning.2 Dec 2004 - 12:00am
As a reasonably frequent visitor to Hong Kong, I would like to add a few words to the issue of the noise caused by TV broadcasts on buses.

FOR the past 14 months, I have been plagued by the noise my upstairs neighbours make.
