New South Korean president Park vows to make people happy

Following a jaunty ceremony featuring a 21-gun salute, folk dancers and Gangnam Style star Psy, Park Geun-hye, who was sworn in on Friday as president of South Korea, made a revolutionary promise - to make her workaholic, ultra-competitive, ultra-stressed people happy.

Taking the oath of office in front of 70,000 people gathered in front of the National Assembly building in Seoul, Park Geun-hye called on North Korea to abandon its nuclear ambitions and rejoin the international community.
