Independence day

My daughter is 18 this year and it scares me. She has a boyfriend, is learning to drive and has her career planned out. She's my only child and we've always been close. Now I'm worried that I'm about to lose her and I will be alone with my husband. I'm sure it scares him, too. She has always been the centre of our lives. It makes me feel sick and sad to think about it.
